Are there coatings available to maintain my pewter’s finish?

Clear-coat acrylics, such as Krylon™, adhere well, help preserve the original appearance and provide some protection from scratching. If the piece needs repair at a later date, however, this coating must first be removed completely.

A Kitchen Wax or Glass Wax also helps preserve the finish on high-usage items without the risk of chipping the coating.
